About Poppy and Ma

If you thought this was a blog about poppies or drugs, you’re mistaken. Only a cute puppy here. Why? Because, in the middle of May 2012, my beloved companion dog, Chow Chow/Labrador cross, Madam Lasagna (a.k.a: Lei Lei) died from diabetic complications. I miss her. I miss my four-legged buddy involving herself in every one of my activities, haunting me for treats and love. Time now for another dog. After years of rescuing and adopting dogs, I decided on a puppy – Miss Poppy Seed – Poppy the puppy –  a small, black half Jack Russell Terrier, half American Eskimo and miniature poodle – a JackaEskiPoo – a mutt. This is her story.

Baby Poppy takes a look around the rest stop in Morgantown, PA, about halfway to her new home. She's a few days shy of 12 weeks old.

    • Lots of people think that’s what I’m am…in part anyway. Yer Mum was in good company. Even my dog doctor thought so until Ma filled him in on the truth of the matter. Anyways, Ma made up that name for me. She calls me a Brat Terrier too!! 😀
